ABOUT LEMON.AID

Our story

lemon.aid owner and principal designer Leonie knows what it is like to move to a new country. She herself moved from Indonesia to The Netherlands and back and has travelled to over 26 countries.

Understanding the struggle of moving into an unfamiliar setting and having little knowledge of how to navigate the local design and furniture markets, Leonie often found herself sharing advice with friends and family in that particular situation.

Knowing that there must be many others struggling with the same issues, Leonie founded lemon.aid to help those moving to Jakarta to create a real home away from home, instead of just a place to live.

No matter what project we’re designing, we envision spaces that will inspire people, help them connect, and enrich the human experience. We do this by embracing the life, love, and diversity of the culture, mixing traditional Indonesian and modernity. Recognizing that every great design results from a combination of ideas, the rich diversity of this world inspires us.
